The Routine Queen
Maintaining | Orderly | Timely
Routine, routine, routine. There’s no other way to be! Your strength is sequential activities that propel you into habits that others wish they had. Your natural style matches traditional, societal expectations. You are naturally organized and thrive on structure, but if transitional disorganization occurs (i.e. a birth, death, divorce, etc.) you are completely thrown off balance! You can be easily overwhelmed, and might need a hand to get back on track.
Think of yourself as a penguin, slow, patient and methodical, but with purpose in everything you do. Step-by-step routines are an essential part of how you prefer your world organized. A natural rule follower, you enjoy responsibility and being productive.
Others may view you as a workhorse of tasks, detailed and dependable, but boring and non imaginative. Whatever! What do they know? Sure, maybe you could afford to schedule more fun into your calendar, but you’re practical and realistic, focusing on the little things that keep you stable and stress-free.

Uncomfortable with change and dislike interruptions or surprise
Black and white thinking
ORGANIZING STYLE
Staying simple yet practical is the best organizing style for you. Your home is traditionally seen as very well organized and you enjoy filing and putting things in their place. You prefer function over design and keep rigid storage policies to maintain order. Asking all the important questions and contemplating before you buy helps to keep an uncluttered home, therefore storage is a key element. When someone in your home needs something, they know who to go to! But this can also be your downfall. It’s important to give yourself space so others do not overly depend on you (Pro tip! Labeling and clear direction can help with this.)
You tend to have little emotional attachment to things! Envy anyone? But just be sure to store the minimal amount you do have in clear containers so you can easily see everything making you super efficient. As for your clothing? They have to be rotated after every season or stored in perfect order which requires a lot of maintenance. With less stuff comes less maintenance and more time to do the things you love. Ahh, just think about it… a little more being and a lot less doing.
DESIGN TIPS!
Utilitarian, closed storage and built-ins
Use neutral or subdued colors
Allow for extra storage and room to grow
Use angular esthetics
Use drawer organizers and clear containers
